Why Donate ? Is there a better way

We all get requests for donations for projects like ,Donate for Food and Education of poor in India, For construction of benches and toilets for schools , Donations for for safe drinking water in rural India and many  that Govt of india should be doing.

My comments:

I don't think We cant make any lasting positive changes to society with Charity.

We don't have to ask any donations for these public causes  to anyone because ,  the same people already paid for these. Like education , like rural welfare in form of govt taxing.

As a Doner,  I understand  that  emotion to help and feels like the right thing to do but  I think  the  energy and focus can be directed  to achieve these goals  in a much broader sense.

They way we can help i think is by  Asking and helping the people who ask the right questions , Asking the right people !!! Raising the awareness  and forcing the govt hand to do their job in building better India.

I think Right to Information Act(RTI) is the best tool we have to bring about these changes.
We already have many good minded people going this way , I call on motivated  people to look at Rakesh  and see if his path  motivates you .Rakesh Reddy Dubbudu is from Warangal raising awareness on several  issues thru RTI.

2G Scam..really

2G scam: 1.7L Cr..really....how did they come up with this number. Its like real estate price. The price is buyers will and sellers slack. Its the expectation that drives it.

Anyway the point i am trying to make is is how do we get best value for this 1.7L Cr , with govt in form of Cash or with private sector in form of inherent value of technology which converts into cheaper comm services for all citizens, including poor and yes, good profits for the companies and investors. No doubt its a scam to play the rules but i just feel that it turned out to be good in this case. 1.7 l cr bounty with this congress, huh i cant imagine the plunder.

Some good things out of this are ,the vigilance got a much needed kick. more eyes on everything now. Things are more vetted now. at-least fear of this is good enough for a sometime.

For this we have to give it to BJP. Excellent duty as opposition exposing multiple scams.

Valuations : what kind of analysts make this kind of valuation with this degree of variance.

DMK...Hope to see some new faces from TN.

Importance of Reading News

Reading about adarsh Housing case and several other scam cases.

Wrt to adarsh, what is the result of it, Resign , CM resign as if thats same as a death sentence. And surprisingly thats not shocking. Only when i come to my NRI mindset , I realize its absolute stupidity. Why are not these politicians punished when caught in any scam. Why is just resignation so acceptable.

Probably no one knows the answer. But if we have to think about any improvement in this situation from a normal , just living his life kind of a persons view, I would say your pure awareness of things will change lot of things in a good enough timeline.

The adarsh case was broke in 2003 but took 7 years to reach a firing point. Why are thing soooo slow. Because people's learning and awareness is that much slow. I think things are greatly improving in this information era.
Like always the case , Any movement will need that critical number of people to care to make it a revolution. I believe that there are enough people out there who care but the problem is that the information is not reaching them.

So , what i say is be informed , read news , if you dont care , no problem but lets do our part to make sure that it reaches some one who cares and acts.

Case of fewer to two parties

I cannot say polarizing is bad. Polarizing on basis of economic/political ideology might be one of the best things that happened to USA. I say this reflecting UPA-2 inability to take initiatives on number of projects or taking judicial action of number of corrupt politicians mainly because of hung politics. I cannot imagine political action or criminal action if a criminal optician is in ruling hung.

There should be division but on how thing should be done. This culture will bring out the best of both ends serving the society in the best way. I dont feel good that the main opposition to Congress and allies is BJP which bases on hindutva. I think BJP has the critical mass needed for it to launch as party of policies and not a party of a religion. I am not predicting but common sense says BJP should move away from hindutva.

These are some solutions that i can think of.

1) No registering political parties on basis of religion or religious faith.
2) No Registering political parties on basis of Caste or creed.
3) Election commission should have strict ethical frame work for campaigning, not to propagate on religion or caste.
4) This will be debatable but should be given a chance. It should not be 51% bunch of parties that rules BUT should be the majority even it gets 30% .

For this my argument is, it may not represent all sections but will force polarization on basis of policy and mandates rather than any other reason.
What this does is it will spell slow and sure death of small fringe parties that are pulling back any big initiatives.
There should be differences while voting on a policy not while forming parties. Let them, politicians, fight for changes in policy.

Naxalism

After the recent attacks on killing of 70 CRPF by Naxals , There was a wave of public anger and political response to it at national level.

This is my take on it ,

This is a not a military/police/crpf issue , Naxals are not fighting for land or political power. I feel that govt is fighting wrong on wrong issues with this case.
ofcos there are many political parties that ise this issue for milage .

I think all the resource investments and efforts should be put in developing the rural areas that are severely effected by naxals. I feel we might see a better result by constructing a high school/ college level institution than bunch of police stations and related establishments.
